World’s Top 10 Cheapest Cities to Live In (2012)


The Economist Intelligence Unit  (EIU) has released its list of the world’s cheapest cities to live in, based on the average cost of living.
Compared to the 2011 list, Manila, Philippines and Tunis, Tunisia was replaced by Muscat, Oman, and Katmandu, Nepal. The other eight cities are still on the list. It can be observed that the cheapest cities belong to Asian and Middle Eastern countries.

3. Tehran, Iran
4. New Delhi, India
5. Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
6. Katmandu, Nepal (Tie)
6. Panama City, Panama (Tie)
8. Algiers, Algeria
9. Dhaka, Bangladesh
10. Muscat, Oman
